What We Actually Track When You Click a Short Link

8/30/2026

Most link-shortener privacy policies are vague on purpose. Here's the exact, complete list of what Linqeezy logs per click: an approximate country (from IP geolocation — the IP itself isn't kept as a queryable field), device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop), the referring site if there was one, and a timestamp. That's all of it.

We don't fingerprint browsers, don't track you across other sites, and don't sell click data. Viewing a link's preview page isn't logged as a click at all — it's a separate, unlogged action, since checking a destination shouldn't count as visiting it.

The full policy is on the Privacy page if you want the complete version.
